The 76ers narrowly defeated the Palmer Dragons at Rock Island’s historic Douglas Park. Tim McChesney (4-0) picked up the win in relief while his mates pounded 13 hits in the 10-9 squeeker. Shane Glisan and Brad Barton each ripped two hits while Ted Rossow drilled three to fuel the Sixer attack. Chris Declerck doubled and Barton homered for the hosts. The 76ers improved to (7-2) on the season
